June is here, and the residents and staff alike are wishing for warmer weather, sunny skies, and no rain after a soggy and cold May. The weather did not deter Quail Summit residents who traveled to Romulus to see the Seneca white deer and visited the Abbey of the Genesee in Piffard.
Quail Summit was proud that a small group of the Quail Summit Chorus were able to join with the Canandaigua Community Chorus in the Memorial Day program honoring veterans at Woodlawn Cemetery.
News from the Wellness Department: Tina McWilliams, RN., Director of Wellness, resigned effective May 31, 2019 to accept a position at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Tina will remain on staff as a per diem RN. We wish her well in her new endeavor.
Quail Summit is pleased to announce the appointment of Brenda Eyer, BSN, RN, and D.O. as the Director of the Wellness Department. Brenda has a wealth of experience as a nurse in various settings including assisted living and dementia care. Welcome Brenda!
The Ontario County Senior Citizen of the Year Award Luncheon was held at Quail Summit on May 17, and Bernie Adams a resident of the Estates received an award for his volunteer efforts on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association, and Anne Morey who volunteers as the piano player for the Quail Summit Chorus also received an award for her work here. Congratulations to you both!!

Residents are busy planning more outings to local restaurants, ice cream stands, and other local sites, ready to take advantage of all the wonderful offerings of the Finger Lakes area. So read the June calendar and see where the residents are going in June. Have Fun!
