December is upon us, oh my, “where did 2019 go?” Is a frequent refrain at this time of year. We’ve had one brief snowstorm in November, Christmas lights have been strung on the exterior of Quail Summit, and the residents have begun the annual “Decking of the Halls” always a fun project for residents and staff alike.
This year the Life Enrichment Department has designated the week of December 15th, “ Holiday Spirit Week”, which involves wearing different articles of clothing throughout the week, so if you come in on December 16th, expect residents and staff to be wearing red and white on Candy Cane Day.
Various community groups will be visiting at Quail Summit to entertain the residents including: Girl Scouts, Jeff Clough will play an organ concert, and a visit from a local primary school. We encourage residents and families to check out the December calendar filled with holiday activities. Remember at Quail Summit it is always “the more the merrier.”
The Christmas season is a time of giving. Once again this year, residents, families, neighbors, and friends are collecting new Teddy Bears. If you wish to donate a bear, please drop off before December 17th. Bears will be distributed to local human service agencies which serve children in the Town of Canandaigua. The Quail chorus will be “giving” by providing entertainment at Ewing Continuing Care Center on December 19th at 10:30 AM.
Quail Summit’s Board of Directors and staff wish our valued residents, their families, and friends a holiday season filled with Joy, Kindness, Good Health, Love, and Memories to Cherish!
